STERILIZER SACHET

Equipment must be free from all visible dirt before sterilizing. If dirty, wash thoroughly with a detergent and rinse with plenty of warm water before sterilizing.

  1. Add 5 litres of warm water into your fermenting bucket, add 4-5 teaspoons of powder from the sachet (keep the rest for bottling later) and stir for
  2. minutes to dissolve. Leave the mixing paddle inside bucket then fit the lid securely (click all the way around) and shake the bucket to ensure all internal surfaces come into contact with the liquid. 2. After 10 minutes, discard the liquid then replace the lid to keep sterile. Do not rinse.

Sterilizing at bottling stage;

  1. Put 15 litres of COLD water into a sink add the rest of the sachet, stir for 2 minutes to dissolve.
  2. Wear rubber gloves especially if you have sensitive skin.
  3. Place Equipment in this solution (siphon kit, stirrer, corks etc).
  4. Immerse bottles to fill completely then leave to stand for 10 minutes. Then empty liquid back into the sink and repeat to fill the remaining bottles. Cover bottle openings with clean tissue to keep sterile before use. Do not rinse.

The sterilizing solution only remains active for 45mins - 1 hour so prepare everything before you disolve the powder into water.
